Cleanse - Step 1
- Massage about a ten cent piece size of Cleanse - Step 1 into skin for 1-2 minutes to exfoliate dead skin cells and oil. This also allows the key ingredients to penetrate pores.
- Cleanse - Step 1 may be used on your face, chest or back. Wash once or twice each day; overwashing may irritate your skin and make problems worse.
- We recommend you use Proactiv Make-Up Removing Cloths at night to remove make-up, followed by Cleanse - Step 1 to rid the skin of impurities.
- Avoid the eye area; this product was not designed to be used as an eye make-up remover.
- Rinse thoroughly with water to remove all residue of the cleanser and rinse away impurities.
Tone - Step 2
- Use twice daily after cleansing. Use about 10 to 15 drops of Tone - Step 2 on a cotton pad. Tone - Step 2 helps soften fine lines, keep pores from clogging, and hydrate the skin.
- You may notice a slight tingling or stinging sensation; this is normal and expected. This sensation is due to the action of the glycolic acid on your skin.
- Let the toner dry before applying Repair - Step 3.
Repair - Step 3
- Apply a pea size amount of Repair - Step 3 to entire face (avoid eye area).
- DON’T rinse off! Allow skin to completely absorb lotion. The Benzoyl Peroxide penetrates the skin to help prevent breakouts and fight existing blemishes.
- Remember this is not a moisturiser.

I haven't tried proactiv yet, but I've ordered it over a week ago, and I must say that I'm extremely excited for it to come in. I don't mind the price at all, I think $49.90 is a great price for the benefits and quantity it comes with. :)

I love proactiv, I find it is the only thing that works for my acne at my age i have been using it for awhile now and I reccomend it to others. My acne now is hormonal, and proactiv controls that, I only wish I had this when I was at school.

I have combination, oily T-zone skin and was recommended this product by a beauty therapist. I was a little hesitant at the start. I had already given up trying various products and tips to clear my skin and the salesperson was very patient with me. 6weeks on and barely any zits, I'm very pleased and haven't looked back at all.

Well i first heard about proactive about 2 years ago and that's when i should of started using it. I am 17 years old and the side of my face is actually the worst its even been, blackheads, whiteheads, pimples, blemishes, oily skin, you name it! i have tried nearly every product in the supermarket including clean & clear, clearasil, neutrogena and biore`, most of the products helped a little bit but NOT totally. All i want is clear blemish-free skin and i am finally going to order proactive to see if it really does work, my friend has been using it for a couple of months and has done wonders for her so i hope it can do the same for me :)

I tried everything in the supermarkets because it was a cheaper exercise, but in the long run all I have really done is waste my money on products that didnt work. Proactiv may be a little more expensive, but it does go a long way.
When I first started using Proactiv, my skin did get worse, but it has to get worse to get better! Within a few weeks of doing the right stuff (cleansing, toning, refining mask, repair, oil free moisturising), my skin was finally clearing. I have now been using Proactiv for 9 months and my skin is clear as it was when I was 10 years old! Its smooth, soft and glowing... I am such a happier person and feel confident.
I just love that I can now go down the street without wearing make-up and without stressing about people looking at my acne.

i dont have acne or overly oily skin and was worried at first about using proactive. After 4 weeks my skin has improved, i no longer have blemishes on my cheeks or my forhead.
i was worried about poracitve drying out my skin, but i havent experienced my skin becoming overly dry at all. i would definetly reccomend this to anyone with blemishes, because you dont have to have acne to use this product. the price is more than fair and it is definetly worth giving a try, im sure you will find your skin improves dramaticly. :)

i used the old proactive about 6 years ago it made my skin dry and i had a slight reaction to it. i tried antibiotics and a very strong medication only avaliable from a dermatoligist which worked wonders. i used that for two years then stopped. my skin was fine untill the recent birth of my first child all the hormones and things made my skin break out and just wouldnt seem to clear. i thought i would give proactive another go and it works i have been using it for three days and the improvement in my skin is wonderful. thank you very much . very satisfied.

The Proactive solution, did not improve my skin, rather it scared my skin leaving dark spot scars upon my cheeks which weren't there before the us of Proactive. In conclusion, I find this solution detremental to skin instead of a "solution" to acne.
GUTHY-RENKER RESPONSE: Hi Annellia, thank you for your feedback. We are sorry that Proactiv didn't work for you. We estimate that over 85% of people with mild to moderate skin problems will see an improvement through using Proactiv over a period of 6-8 weeks. Don't forget, we have our 60 day money back guarantee. You can send your products back to us for a full refund (less p&h).

I have never bought proavtive (as I can't afford it) but I have used leftovers from a friend who had an allergic reaction. It does work I loved my skin until it ran out. however it's way to expensive. Why is proactive so expensive?
GUTHY-RENKER RESPONSE: Hi Dee, thank you for your feedback. We have actually just reduced our price recently, to make Proactiv accessible to more people. For only $29.95 + $9.95 p&h, you receive Cleanse, Tone & Repair, as well as our Doctors Secrets Book and our new Cleansing Body Bar.

I ordered the 'old' proactiv 3 step system about 4 years ago and it was horrible. It pretty much burned my skin and dried it out really bad after a few days of using it. I thought I'd give the 'new' products a try just recently and they work perfectly. I've been using it for a month and every whitehead and pimple has disappeared and my skin hasn't dried out at all. Love it!

I have used pro active on and off since I was 17 I am now 22. At first it was brilliant it cleared up my skin in 5 days yea it dried my skin out but I had really oily skin so it felt dealt good to be dry for once. I have stopped using it a few times mostly due to the fact i haven't always been able to afford it and my skin does break out if I'm not using it. I find that I still get a few break outs when I'm using pro active but they are so much mor controlled and they dissapear faster. I get them I think due to the heat or as most girls do at that time of the month. I now wear proactive make up and it has helped so much with breakouts due to make up I don't get them any more and I also enjoy the soap and body wash I always feel so clean and fresh aftervwashing with it. I'm waiting to try the pore refining peel it's in the mail I'm really excited about that but over all this product is right for me and I am quite happy using it as a daily routine as it dies help and I feel good when I look good. I would recommend this to anyone who has acne problems.

The 'NEW' Proactiv arrived today - someone very familiar with Proactiv, let me tell you what is NEW - they are charging more and the 'new bottles are HALF the size of the old ones! SO DISAPPOINTED!!! :-(
It seems greed has finally gotten the better of them Rodan & Fields. The bottles are smaller than travel sized ones in the supermarkets, and right here and now, am regretting spending so much on SO little.
And this is as a once happy customer talking.
GUTHY-RENKER RESPONSE: Hi Mandy, we are not charging more for new Proactiv, we're actually charging less. WE've halved the size of the bottles to make Proactiv more accessible to everyone and have reduced the price. It was previously $34.95 per month + $12.95p&h, it has now been reduced to $29.95 per month + $12.95p&h.

Its been 5 days now, the proactiv has dried out my skin and has made it red. Is that okay? or should i stop using it?
GUTHY-RENKER RESPONSE: If you're experiencing redness when you first use Proactiv, you may be sensitive tio Benzoyl Peroxide. Stop use for 2 days. When your skin begins to improve, resume using Cleanse - Step 1 and Tone - Step 2 daily. To slowly build a tolerance for Benzoyl Peroxide, use Repair - Step 3 twice a week at night. Gradually increase nightly usage of Repair Step 3, as tolerated. If redness persists, stop using the product.

my sister in law bought proactive is the product for me and it great. I love what it does to my skin in only 2 days time of using it.
i will say though the 120 mills were better as they last longer however i remain satisfied! i used your products a few months a go and they did wonders then i stopped and went on to the shop products like dove and pour scrubs then baby soap as it has no harsh things in it. None of them worked like proactive did so i decided to start using proactive again and even the scrub its self did wonders so thanks for your products their great! I am very great full and always excited to look in the mirror and see the changes.

GUTHY-RENKER RESPONSE: Hi Angie, thanks for your feedback. If you are to buy from www.proactiv.com.au, the most postage you would pay is $12.95. I'll be looking into if the site is showing something different. I have asked our Testimonial Coordinator to look into what has happened to your story gift. I'm glad that you like the product though!

Before you purchase this item let me remind you that it is $49.95 + p&h per MONTH!! So over the three month total it is $149.85 that you are paying for a product every three months. Also once you stop using this product your skin become so bad that the only solution is to stay on the product until you get old enough that skin issues are no longer a problem. As most of the comments I have read majority are positive but it really isn't that good of a product... Unsatisfied Customer!!
GUTHY-RENKER RESPONSE: Hi Chanelle, unfortunately you can’t cure acne, you can only control it so the best solution is everyday management and control of blemishes. That’s why we created Proactiv as a 3 step system for everyday use – to help prevent breakouts before they even surface. It sounds like your experience has proved Proactiv’s effectiveness, if your skin broke out after you stopped using the product to control your breakouts. Each person’s skin is different and breakouts are caused by many things. Proactiv’s large 90 day bottles are $89.85 for the 3 Step System and $119.85 for the 3 Step System with Oil Free Moisture, but we think that is good value for clear skin :)

I have spent a lot of Money on other products that were suppose to fix my skin and they failed. Proactive is the best product by far and very reasonably priced. I am a extremely satisfied customer. I would suggest to others if proactive is not working for you after 2 months of using it to use less product or go see a dermatologist if the acne problem is coming from the inside, out. They prescribe amazing pills but take longer to work completely. I saw a dermatologist when I was 21 years old from suffering from stress and really bad break outs. Now the break outs are just hormonal and proactive takes care of them. I'm so happy. Good luck every one ;)

Such a small package really does not worth that much money! Most importantly, they were not as good as the older version. The new Proactiv products are rough, and not as effective.
GUTHY-RENKER RESPONSE:
Thank you for your feedback. Regarding the size of the products, they are advertised as 30 day entry size, with continuing 90 day shipments, and they actually work out cheaper than the classic size of 60 day.
The only significant change in NEW Proactiv is the size of the particles of Benzoyl Peroxide, it has been milled to be many times smaller so that it can be absorbed even faster. When you change something in your routine, it can cause your skin to react differently. We recommend you persist with the new formulation to see improved results for 4 to 6 weeks, if you still haven’t seen an improvement, please do contact us again. We do want to hear about your progress.

I have been using this product for about four months now and it is excellent. Within a one or two applications it had decreased the size and redness of some existing breakouts and after about two weeks, cleared up the really stubbon breakouts. I rarely get any bad pimples now, even only using the renewing cleanser once a day.
The oil fee moisture product is great, it provides just the right amount of moisturisation without clogging my skin or creating other breakouts. I have tried alot of products including really expensive cleansing stuff for "senstive" skin from L'Occitane and Clarins and they all made my breakouts worse. Proactive so far is the only one that has worked, provided consistent results, isn't really that expensive and not made my face feel oily or tight (dry) after its use. Even the deep cleansing wash is not too harsh.
How much is a clear complexion worth to you?
