Hi. After using wen one time my hair felt completely different. It just felt natural. I don't know how to explain it better. My hair feels like it has no chemicals in from shampoos it just feels great! My hair is, actually I'm quite embarrassed about my hair because its so thick, knotty and bushy but after using wen my hair feels thinner which is insane. i feel more feminine and my hair feels awesome. smells great too! loving the almond mint.
My only concern is that the bottle has almost run out and it hasn't been 3 weeks yet. I'm happy to pay for another bottle if maybe it was sold on its own? But as i write this i have seen a larger bottle quantity which i think will last me.
Goodbye shampoos hello Wen!

Hi as promised, after reading the mixed reviews here and was a little concerned having just ordered my first lot of Wen. It has arrived and I have used it for 4 consecutive days. The verdict? It is wonderful I have fine, short wavy hair that usually is oily and limp in 12 hours after washing. This product was easy to use, following the instruction carefully, my hair has never looked better. I washed and styled my hair for work and it lasted 2 days. i love the stuff! The smell of the sweet almond mint is awesome. I cant wait to try some of the others.

I do love this product but, even by my standards, gees it costs a lot!
I wash my hair pretty much daily. I got my bundle not even two weeks ago and the conditioner is almost all gone. I have medium to long, thick hair. It is blonde and naturally wavy, frizzy and dry, and I also colour it (bleach) so it gets even more dry.
Before this I would pay a lot of money for my hairdresser treatments and shampoos etc. I think Wen works out to be even more expensive than these, as at least the hairdresser ones would last a lot longer.
Saying that, using Wen has really helped with the condition of my hair. It is still not perfect, but I found my frizzy waves have relaxed more and my hair doesnt look and feel so dry. I use the conditioner as specified in the instructions and then use the styling creme as a leave in. I have also used the treatment. I have not bothered using the texture balm. As I said, my hair feels good now, but I noticed the first few times I washed my hair with the conditioner it actually felt dry and not so good at all. I gave it a few more days and it looks like my hair has got used to the new product and now I am happy. :)
Overall - I would recommend it to people with similar hair to mine. But only if your budget allows. Otherwise I would recommend sticking with your usual routine and just use a decent treatment (like KMS, silksheen). I will probably buy more of the conditioner, but I dont think I will be able to continually use this product long term due to the expense.

I have used WEN for one month. I have mixed feelings. My budget hates the product. My conditioner that comes with my home colouring kit actually creates the same effect as WEN, so again, cost-wise it's not a great choice. I was hoping for a product that could enhance my natural wavy hair, but there's no controlling waves without heat and dedication to style daily (or at least every other day!).
Why do I like it? The smell is great, it's a one-step process, decreases dryness in my head, and it does produce improved hair texture - if you style your hair correctly. My wavy hair still has to be straightened as I normally would, and the final product seems about 10% better than with other shampoos.
Not convinced it's worth the VERY HIGH cost, but I do like the product.

Awesome product but took a few washes before I could see the results so my advice to anyone trying it for the first time is don't despair if you don't see a big change after just one wash. Keep at it and you will definitely see an improvement. I am very pleased with the product but wish it wasn't so expensive.

I loved this prduct too until I realised I couldnt purchase the Fig conditioner from anywhere in New Zealand, I think that its not on that you advertise this product on tv then can only offer part of the products. Not happy and will have to search for another product with much regret.
GUTHY-RENKER RESPONSE: Unfortunately we don't sell the Fig fragrance, however we do only advertise the Sweet Almond Mint and Cucumber Aloe fragrances.

It is kinda pricey but you get what you pay for. When I first started using wen it did make my hair feel different, a little kaki and greasy but I think your hair needs to get used to not being dried out by shampoo, and also to sort of wash out all the build-up. Or maybe I just wasnt using it right lol Once my hair got used to it is rarely greasy, i can go for days without having to wash it, and it isnt glossy, but its soft like baby hair. My hair does get dry because its regularly foiled but it is the best product I've used by far. I also like the fact that you're supposed to use alot.. it feels like your really nourishing all your hair. Really like this product =)

I used wen for about 6 months, and whilst it did seem to improve my hair a little bit at the time, it never really stopped it being frizzy. MIght work better on non colour treated hair, and not in humid conditions (in the tropics). BTW I even used the fig which is supposed to be for dry hair, hair was still frizzy. Stopped using it for that reason - needed more of an improvement to justify the $$$. Also, it contains silicones, so for those who want to avoid them, wen is not for you.
On the plus side, my wen experience got me looking at hair cleansers in a new light & I did finally find something I was happy with, that didn't have all the 'bad' stuff in it that wen talks about.

Used Wen once while staying with a friend and was SO impressed with the results after just one wash. My hair is long and fabulously curly but the curls don't hold their shape and turn to frizz. After using Wen my hair was so soft and shiny and the curls kept their shape. Unfortunately this product is far too expensive for my 'student budget'. It's back to good old Sunsilk for me.

Wen dissaspointed me so much. I was hoping that my curls would relax using it. Instead it just freaked out more/frizzed more. I will not use this prodct any further. However the intensive hair treatment mask is wonderful. Sad though that you cant buy that separatly. casue no i wont buy anything. not worth $150 for one part of the packet that works!!

I have been using WEN for about 10 months and have to say I'm pretty happy with the results. I'm a stay at home mum and I only wash my hair a couple of times a week at best. My friends will comment and say how nice my hair looks and my hairdresser even told me yesterday that my hair was in very good condition and looks great! Not bad for somebody who does very little to take care of her hair.
It took me a bit of adjusting until I could find the right balance for me.
I use 10 pumps for the first wash and then around 12 for the second wash and leave it in for approx 5 mins or so and then give it a really good wash out for about 2 mins. I find this works best for me and my hair.
I know it it can be a little costly but it is one of those things I'm happy to spend money on. I have tried many other products over the years and i have to say I will be sticking with WEN.
Anybody thinking about buying some.......i suggest you give it a go and play around with the amount you use until you find a balance that suits you!

hi....i have only just purchased the product.....and after using it once i can see a bit of a improvement...Does anyone know the recommended amount of washes u should do per week for this product and how often u should use it to get proper results??????anyone's answers much appreciated..... I know alot of people think that this product is expensive and yes it kinda is...but my hair gets frizzy and its really curly...spirals infact.....i have used all kinds of shampoo, conditioners, leave-in and treatments...including some of the best salon brands....My curls can get that outta control that i hated them that much that i got my hair chemically straighened...but am tired of doing it as its alot of work and can become quite costly by the time u pay for the procedure and buy all the products to look after it...and now i also have small amounts of chemical damage to my hair.....These days a good day is a bad day with my hair...when i go out i wear it up as its just sockinly embarrasing lately,,,,,so i am willing to try anything that could make it look good again......

I have been suffering from a chronic neurological illness which has left me in and out of hospital as well as bed ridden most of the time.
Along with the stress of this as well as the financial stress of not being able to work as well as medications my long hair suffered badly! Id wake in hospital with clumps of hair on my pillow that had just dried out so much they snapped off! A close friend of mine came to my aid with a box of Wen that she had brought for me. it was a beautiful gesture, and although I had to have my hair cut into a short bob around 7 weeks ago my hairdresser said she couldnt believe the beautiful condition my hair was in, so much so that she said i wouldnt need a trim for at least another 6 weeks and that she couldnt believe that by this time next year my hair will not only be just as long but in the best condition its ever been in-thankyou Wen!

I have used almost every single hair care product out there trying to repair the damage I have caused my hair from bleaching, dyeing, straightening, etc., and I have never had the same results with ANYTHING as I have with Wen. But, only if I used the product according to the instructions - EXACTLY. So anybody having problems with oiliness or "a dirty feeling" was probably not using it right, because it took me a few gos to get it right. I do, however, think the balm is quite oily and I never use this, but the cleanser itself is fantastic. But only when used properly!!! Also, when you first start using natural products it can take your scalp a little while to adjust as most products really strip your natural oils. It takes a little while for your scalp to realise it doesn't have to over-compensate anymore.

GOOD/BAD. this is great on my daughter hair, she has very very thick course hair (like horse hair) i couldn't brush it without tears, it has been a life saver with her, but I wash her hair in normal shampoo and use this like a conditioner as she felt it had a dirty feeling.
My hair is fine and it's no good as it's oily after 1 day, good if i shampoo my hair with normal shampoo and use this like conditioner every day but not all of us want to wash our hair every day.
Don't like the hair styling, too greasy

I love this product! My hair use to be real hoary, dry, brittle and soooooooooooo difficult to control. I use to be so embarrassed of it. Since using WEN it's more soft, manageable and healthier. The process sometimes is annoying but the end results is worth it. I would recommend this BUT YOU MUST FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS if you really want the results. It pays off in the end. I will never go back to using ordinary shampoos/conditioners again!

I was using WEN for over a year. I liked it, alternated it with my usual high quality hair product because my fine hair gets weighed down if I dont change rpoduct regularly. However, I went overseas to REPRESENT MY COUNTRY IN AN INTERNATIONAL BEAUTY PAGEANT and took my WEN with me. Just prior to this my credit card was violated and the number changed for safety reasons. I got ONE and ONLY ONE letter from Guthy Renker on my return home telling me "FINAL DEMAND" etc for 40 dollars or something silly like that, and when I called to explain what happened, and that I was overseas in an internationally renowned beauty pageant representing AUSTRALIA I was told (despite settling my mere outstanding 40-odd dollars debt) "Sorry. You can no longer order that product." DESPITE mentioning my circumstances, my national title etc So "Bye Bye Wen AND Bye Bye Sheer Cover". Product...GREAT. Supplier.....PLEASE listen to me and dont censor my opinion. I am a loyal customer. Censoring me is pointless because criticism like this is what keeps your customers happy, keeps you honest and keeps the market competitive. Get with the program. I'll come back when your customer service improves and your mailing is correct and up-to-date. I was made to feel like a criminal for not making 1 payment. Thats just ridiculous..Your sales attitude toward 1 product I regularly purchased adversely reflected on my purchasing of another unrelated product! Thats actually impacting negatively on your other suppliers. I am really disappointed in Guthy Renker. I hope one day you can reestablish my faith in your company. Lets see. I certainly hope so.

I found myself reaching for my ordinary shampoo/conditioner. The products smell good but thats the only positive thing for them... ended up costing me $30 in postage! (because i sent products back)

Oh my god, this stuff is wonderful. I have waivey/curly hair and on good days it is bad but get a wet day and I just look a mess. Since using Wen, in just 1 week I have the most controlled hair I have ever had. Today is wet and windy and my hair is still straight and soft and in total control. I just can't believe how good it is. I used shampoo on the weekend and back was the frizzy hair. I really can't recommend this enough. I wash my hair every day due to a scalp condition. I have shortish hair and I only use 6 pumps (not the commended 20 or so on the bottle). I find my hair is not oily but it does feel a bit oily if I use the styling cream so I don't use that - however it is not even needed.

Hi Chaz,
I just want to say that I think Wen is a wonderful hair care system and I have not yet came across anything that I have really liked this much before until I started using Wen,
I have allways had very dry hair and I have allways coloured my hair and I recently went in and got a perm and I was amazed that my hair was still so soft I couldn't believe it I had never had soft hair after a perm.
I know that some people have said that it has made there hair oily but I honestly think it has much more to do with which Wen you choose there are the two different Wen's available and maybe if they try the other Wen with Aloe vera and cuccumber it would be better,
I think it is a teriffic product and I thank Chaz Dean for creating such a wonderful product and I recomend it to all my friends even my hair dresser

I was actually disappointed with the results. I had hoped using this product my hair would be less frizzy and wayward, that it would be nice and smooth. But I didn't get that result. I still found myself reaching for my regular shampoo and conditioner.
I don't know what the lady who gets 4 days out of 1 wash does during her day, but I still felt I wanted to wash each day. Not necessarily because it felt dirty but because I needed to try and control the wayward hair (it's wavy but not curly).
I didn't like the balm at all, the styling creme was okay. The cleanser was really nice and smells lovely but still, not worth the cost, to me anyway.
I never got around to using the mask as I never have time to wash and then get out the shower to use the mask, only to have to wash it out again so can't comment on what the mask is like.
All in all, I returned my products because the results didn't justify the cost.

I was really dissatisfied with this product. I have long, fine hair and it made my hair oily, flat and lifeless - no matter how much I used. After about a month of using it, I developed a red, dry, itchy rash over my chest and back which then spread to my face. I advise those who do try it to be very careful as I have never had sensitive skin or reacted to any product like this before. I would not recomend this product.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE Wen!!!!!!! It has totally changed my life! Not only has it made washing my hair EASY (one step) my hair has NEVER looked and felt better!! I have very fine/limp hair and because of previous damage (dying) it grows so slowly. - Because of this I was a bit nervous of using a 'conditioner' on such fine hair... WELL... My hair feels amazing! It has grown so much and my hair is back to what it was before all of the dying! I highly recommend it for ALL HAIR TYPES. I LOVE Wen!

The cleansing conditioner and styling cream are wonderful together. However, the texture balm does make ones hair very oily so I choose not to use this product. Otherwise, a great hair care system and one that I would highly recommend to friends and family. I only need to wash my hair every 4 days now, unless have had to use a lot of product for a special occasion.

I really like this stuff and have recommended it to others. The trick is that you have to rinse it out really well as per the instructions, then use the much lesser amount as a leave-in conditioner. If you don't rinse it properly 1st then it will leave your hair a bit greasy feeling.
My hair's very fine & curly and I don't need to use Wen every day to keep it soft & feeling great. It also doesn't irritate my, or my sisters, sensitive skins.

I have used Wen Tea Tree cleansing conditioner for the past 6 months and have never had hair as healthy as I now have. I haven't been able to find the Tea Tree variety in Australia but if the other varieties are half as good, they are worth trying. BTW, my hair is course, thick, dry and slightly wavy...it frizzes if there is any moisture in the air. I don't know if people with fine or oily hair will really benefit from this type of hair care product.
I recently washed my hair with a different shampoo (as my supply of Wen had been used) and was devestated with the resullt! My hair turned into a dry nest of knots as I washed it and all the moisture was completely stripped from my hair leaving it feeling like straw. Six months of healthy hair care down the drain.
As I am unable to get the Tea Tree cleansing conditioner in Australia I am about to order another 'flavour' as I really can't find anything else nearly as good for my type of hair.
